MIKE FALKOWITZ

VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Michael Falkowitz is an accomplished sales executive who brings illuminate the benefit of having spent real time in his client’s shoes. Tapping a background that includes previous executive management posts at Twentieth Century Fox and Video by Deluxe, he is able to approach his business with a unique understanding of each client’s needs and how best to achieve those goals.

Falkowitz, who joined illuminate in 2006, has been instrumental in both building and maintaining the company’s business, with a special focus on its innovative restoration technologies, iConform® and SmartRez IT™. As a result of his efforts, illuminate has created new revenue streams for its clients by successfully restoring valuable film and video library content to today’s viewing standards. Recent projects include such iconic series as “Lost in Space” (Prometheus Entertainment) and more than 150 feature films from Lionsgate, which were restored from film to HD, as well as the Lionsgate series “Love and War,” which was restored from SD tape to HD using the SmartRez IT™ process.

Prior to illuminate, Falkowitz held high-level sales positions with Sunset Digital, DVS Intelestream, Matchframe Video and New Wave Entertainment, roles that helped verse him in post-production sales. On the executive management side, Falkowitz spent 11 years at Twentieth Century Fox, where he finished his tenure as Director – International Servicing before joining Video by Deluxe as Vice President/General Manager for the next 13 years.

Falkowitz, who has a degree in Engineering from the RCA Institute of Technology, completed Duke University’s Faqua School of Business Executive Program in 1994.

When he’s not immersed in his work for illuminate, he pursues a passion for classic cars, including his own 1974 Corvette Stingray. Falkowitz also enjoys taking cruises with his wife.
