NORA BEAUBIEN

DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

One of illuminate’s very first employees, Nora left her account management position at Vidfilm in August of 1995 where she served clients including Columbia and TriStar out of their New York and Los Angeles offices. Illuminate recruited Nora 24 years ago to handle their busy FOX, Universal, Saban and Orion accounts.

Nora was promoted to her current position as Director of Human Resources in 2004. In this capacity she oversees all staff and labor relations including the implementation of company policies and procedures, workplace safety, recruiting and hiring new employees, handling compensation and benefits, and overseeing staff training and development. Nora personally selected many of illuminate’s “backbone” staff such as Rich Meza who have helped the company grow and prosper over the last two decades.

Nora considers herself “the person behind the person,” the individual who shows up and takes care of whatever needs to be done whenever it needs doing. While cognizant that illuminate runs on the wheels of innovation, she believes that its main strengths lie in its co-founders Steven Wiener and James Hardy. “I have never worked for a company that has such hands-on management,” she notes.

An experienced runner who has completed several half-marathons, Nora nevertheless considers her greatest accomplishment to be her son Conner who is now completing a degree at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
